FRIENDS OF CHRIST NEWS
Shonna Morrison welcomed the congregation, and Peggy Earnst said the opening prayer. The praise song was “Just Be Held”. We began a new sermon series called, “Paper Walls”. The message, titled “Because”, was by Andy Stanley of North Point Church in Atlanta, Georgia. It was based on Hebrews 12:1-2. Shonna Morrison closed in prayer. Small group time followed the message.
All are invited to join the men’s group that meets at the church on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.
We are located at 105 N. Main Street (across the street from Dungy’s grocery store) in Gallatin. We invite you to join us on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. for church service and 11:00 a.m. for small groups. We are a church dedicated to loving God, connecting with anyone interested in learning about a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and serving our community, both locally and globally. We are Friends to all…welcome.

GALLATIN SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH NEWS
We had a blessed Sabbath because members of the Trenton Church worshipped with us and three were baptized to the Seventh-Day Adventist church, welcoming the new members Pamela Frecking, Vicky Hiley, and Ricardo Martinex. We were excited that they become part of our family. Our church will welcome anybody who wants to learn more about Jesus and why we attend church on the Sabbath (Saturday).
Pamela Frecking played the piano to the hymns "To God Be the Glory", and "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing."
Vivian Hunsucker introduced bible study-Lesson 5-Jesus, the Giver of Rest with memory text "There remains therefore a rest for the people of God" (Hebrews 4:9) Hebrews 1 and 2 focused on the enthronement of Jesus as the Ruler and Liberator of God's people. Hebrews 3 and 4 introduce Jesus as the One who will provide rest for us. Texts in Exodus and Deuteronomy shows us to look to the past, rest on the Sabbath to celebrate God's accomplishments at Creation and at Redemption, Hebrews 4 invites us to look to the future. Sabbath rest not only memorializes God's victories in the past but also celebrates God's promises for the future.
Pastor Sixto Ramos' sermon was "One Body To Edify All" with scriptures that offers proof.
Everyone enjoyed the fellowship lunch after our church worship.
