Peniston Hog Barn Burns

Lock Springs, Chula and Chillicothe fire departments responded to a fully involved structure fire on the Charlie Peniston farm on Sunday evening, October 4th. The fire was monitored to prevent it from spreading and after the structure collapsed and there was no danger to other structures, the fire and rescue units left the scene. Sources say the barn was a farrowing house with only a couple pigs in it and they were removed unharmed. There was no information as to the cause of the fire.
