Jamesport was a buzz with visitors and shoppers last weekend to attend any and all of the Open Houses that were being held. Along with Open Houses, there were auctions, and the Fish Fry.
The Post which includes Jamesport Builders, Jamesport Lumber and Jamesport Truss drew a huge crowd of 1200 to 1500 people. The businesses served donuts, coffee, ice cream. They also offered free prizes and held drawings. Several took the opportunity to take a horse drawn wagon ride, which is always a hit with the young and old. Up the road from the Post was Gingerich Portable Buildings, who also held an Open House and served snacks and gave away prizes.
Shelley Curtis Hughs of Jamesport, was the lucky winner of the building that was given away. The second place prize of a $500 gift certificate went to Dale Lankford of Hamilton; and the $250 gift certifice was won by Logan Trickel of Maryville.
